Our Guiding Principles

RELOQ Moving Services Code of Conduct

As a US moving company it is important for us to have a common set of ethical practices and standards. This RELOQ’s Code of Conduct describes what our employees considers to be appropriate employee conduct of moving services.

SECURITY

SECURITY 1

Employee is not allowed to consume or be underthe influence of alcohol, drugs or strong medicine when you perform transportservices.

Before agreeing on an assignment employee mustensure that have the adequate skills and training to perform it.

Employee must respect legal requirementsregardingtransport activities, including in particular withrespect toapplicable rules on driver’s hours andminimum rest periods, speed regulations,carriageof food/feedstuffs and dangerous goods, andkeepadequate distance, uselawful hands-free equipmentfor mobile phones, etc.

Employeeare required to ensure that comply with US and state legislation on roadcabotage.

Employee are required to contribute to roadsafety byensuring that the transport equipment used complieswith legalandmanufacturers’ specifications. Yourassignments must be planned so that allnational andinternational rules are observed in allother respects,including butnot limited to brake tests and vehicleinspections.

To help avoid right-turn accidents employee mustdailycheck that mirrors are correct, always stop andlook before turning,keep awatchful eye out whendriving in urban zones and keep driver’s cab tidyto ensurea clear view.

SECURITY 2

Smoking is not allowed in trucks cab, cargo department, storage facilities, nearbycustomers goods or if indirectcontact with customers.

Employeemust ensure that the vehicle has all generallyrequired safety equipment, suchas safety shoes, highvisibility vestsand the required lashing equipment.

Employeemust ensure that the cargo is accurate lashedand secured during transport.

Employee must always conduct yourself in apolite and correct manner with customers. If employee have diverging opinionsofan issue, employee mustalways contact the RELOQ office.

In case of any accidents, employee must immediately inform RELOQ office.

If a RELOQ customer issues a transport order which implies that RELOQ employee have to violate any legislation orpublicregulations, employee must refuse to performthe assignment and then inform the local RELOQ management of the incident.

All employees must be given equal opportunities. Discrimination or harassment of any kind based on race or gender, religiousbelief, marital status,or sexual orientation are not tolerated under anycircumstances. Forced labour is not tolerated oraccepted, and neitheris employment of children.

Employees’ right to legal requirements of working environment, minimum working hours and wages for employees must be respected.

Our trucks populate the roads of North America every day. Our policy is that driving must be undertaken with the utmost care and attention – and that drivers must always comply 100% with local and interstate traffic laws.

Whenever our trucks are on the road, we require that our Drivers live up to our policy for safe conduct on the road – and that they always drive according to local and federal traffic laws and regulations.

We rely on the public to report any road traffic violations involving our branded truck or trailer. If you witness unlawful or bad driving, we want to know, so we can follow up and take appropriate action.

Please contact your local RELOQ office and report any incidents, including unsafe and/or in considerate driving.

Please note that without a truck/trailer number, we may not be able to identify the driver. In any case,please report the incident and provide as many details as possible. Thank you.
