Ten years ago, I immigrated to the United States with my wife, armed with dreams of building a life filled with opportunity and freedom. Like many immigrants, I faced challenges. Learning English from scratch and navigating a new culture was daunting, but I was determined to integrate fully into American society.
My first job was with a moving company, where I had the incredible fortune of working alongside talented individuals who became my mentors. They guided me through the ins and outs of the industry, helping me learn the ropes while also allowing me to advance through various positions. During this time, I was also pursuing my studies in supply chain management, earning a MicroMasters degree in the field. My ambition was to apply this knowledge in a fulfilling career.After three years in the moving industry, I graduated and landed a position at a large supply chain and logistics company with over 65,000 employees. While I enjoyed my role and was proud of my accomplishments, I felt a tugging desire to connect with customers on a more personal level and to create something of my own.
My experiences in corporate America taught me a lot about B2B relationships and operational excellence, but I yearned for the direct interaction that comes with running a business. All said and with the tremendous support of my wife, this inspired me to start RELOQ Moving Services. With my background in logistics, transportation, supply chain management and a genuine passion for helping people, I felt equipped to create a moving company that stands out for its commitment to customer service and integrity. My vision was to eliminate the common stressors associated with moving and provide our clients with a seamless, enjoyable experience.
